This five-day intensive course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization in implementing and managing a Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001:2015. This training is consistent with the project management practices established in ISO 10006 (Quality Management Systems – Guidelines for Quality Management in Projects) and it is based on the quality management principles described in ISO 9000. This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to perform internal audits of quality management systems based on ISO 9001, or the equivalent. Participants will learn how to report on the effective implementation and maintenance of a management system in accordance with ISO 19011. Experienced instructors explain the clauses of ISO 9001:2015 in detail and guide students through the internal audit process, which is required for creating and maintaining a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015. Students will gain auditing skills and knowledge through a balance of classroom training, practical role-playing, group workshops, case studies and open forum discussions.

The lead auditor course provides participants the knowledge and skills to perform first, second and third-party audits of quality management systems (QMS) against ISO 9001 in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable. You’ll grasp the key principles and practices of effective QMS audits in line with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011 “Guidelines for auditing management systems”. Using a step-by-step approach, you’ll be guided through the entire audit process from initiation to follow-up.
